"Helping one person may not change the whole world but it may change the world for one person"

Are you feeling stuck? Are you standing at a crossroads and unsure of the route to take? The strongest of people can feel stuck, lost, fragile, or unhappy at times. My name is Felicity and I am a qualified counsellor. I can be there for you each week to walk alongside you on your journey during our sessions together. I won't be able to give you advice but I can offer a safe and supportive space to work together with the challenges you are facing.  I truly believe that you have the strength and courage to not just survive, but to be present in your life and thrive.

A Bit About Me

Qualified Integrative Counsellor

I have always had a passion for listening to people and supporting them with the emotional struggles they were facing. I have been on my own journey with a counsellor so, I can understand how daunting that first step is to reach out for support and look for a counsellor. In our community, there is still a stigma around a person's mental health but I feel our emotional wellbeing is as important as breathing. Just because we can't see a person's mental health struggles, it doesn't mean that they aren't real. I began my counselling training in 2018 and it started off a journey of discovering myself. I have since supported my clients with drug and alcohol addiction, bereavement, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety and many other struggles they have faced.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is counselling?

Counselling is also called talking therapy. It involves a trained therapist to listen to you and support you to find ways to deal with emotional issues.
Counselling is there to help you with addiction, stress, anxiety, depression, unplanned and difficult life events such as illness, loss and bereavement. This could be a loss of employment, a relationship breakdown, family or financial struggles.

It can be a safe space to work on our emotions like anger or low self esteem.

What are the cost of sessions?

The sessions are £50 and are 50 minutes long. Sessions can be in person or remotely via telephone or Zoom.
It is recommended that you commit to weekly sessions to begin with but I understand this may not be possible for everyone due to other commitments or your finances. This can be discussed during our initial session.
I believe that everyone should be able to access counselling. I offer concessionary rates for those accessing benefits or on a low income during the hours of 11 am and 2 pm and they are £40 per session. Please contact me to discuss this.

What happens next?

Meeting a stranger can be very challenging and finding a suitable counsellor even more so. My main objective is for you to feel safe and listened to without judgement. I offer a free 30-minute video session for me to find out a bit about you, life's challenges and your expectations of counselling. It is a good time for us to connect and see if I'm the right counsellor for you. If you decide you would like to continue, we would book a time that suits you for your first session. If I don't feel I can support you I will offer some alternative options for you to look into.

What experience and qualifications do you have?
